Jacob Guldan is considered one of the most skilled and productive watchmakers in Bratislava's watchmaking history. Our brand of wristwatches not only pays homage to his name but also to his work and craftsmanship.
Master Guldan worked during the transition period from Rococo to Classicism, which is why his works are so diverse. Even today, Guldan's clocks can be purchased in auction houses and antique shops around the world. His products are highly valued for the aesthetic sense and taste that the skilled master incorporated into his works. This is why we decided to continue his legacy, revive the name of Jacob Guldan, and demonstrate that quality wristwatches can also be made in Slovakia.
European Tradition and Nobility on Your Wrist
Our ambition is to represent European tradition and history, paying tribute to craftsmanship. We aim to create modern wristwatches that nod to timeless values and tradition. Thus, in a world oversaturated with information and constantly changing trends, our wristwatches' design returns to simplicity and minimalism—to the essence hidden in things. The design of the dials in our Circle and Art collections is our interpretation of Jacob Guldan's clock design, which, even in its minimalist form, retains the nobility and elegance of bygone times.
Watches Must Function
Thanks to our strong passion, we have built a small microcosm of supplier partnerships, adhering to the basic principles that underpin our watches. And, just like Master Guldan, our brand works with the highest quality components and materials to ensure their functionality and durability.
The Jacob Guldan brand uses a high-quality Swiss Made Ronda Quartz movement with 5 jewel bearings and a gold-plated EOL. The movement boasts a very long battery life thanks to the energy-saving mechanism. The dial is made from a thin metal plate with a high-quality light or dark surface, and the sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant. Finally, Jacob Guldan watches are complemented by high-quality handmade straps made from cow leather produced in Germany.
All components of our watches undergo careful selection with an emphasis on their quality, functionality, and durability, allowing them to be hand-assembled by our master watchmakers in Slovakia.
