Warranty Conditions
Warranty Conditions
The warranty period lasts for 24 months, beginning on the day the buyer receives the goods.
The warranty covers manufacturing defects of the watch itself (movement, case, glass); however, other parts are not included under this warranty. Claims within the warranty period must be submitted electronically to warranty@jacobguldan.com or in writing to: Jacob Guldan s.r.o., SNP 1980/29, 900 01 Modra, Slovak Republic. The claim must include the name, address, order number, email, telephone contact, and a detailed description of the issue - the reason for the claim. Please label the subject of the email (or letter) with "Goods complaint". The buyer lodges a complaint by delivering the defective goods and relevant documents, or by mailing them (via post or courier service) to Jacob Guldan s.r.o., SNP 1980/29, 900 01 Modra, Slovak Republic. The customer, acting as the buyer, is responsible for the postage costs for returning the goods to the seller. The customer will receive electronic notification regarding the resolution of the claim.
Please be aware that fees for repair/replacement may apply, even during the warranty period, in cases of:
- Failure or damage due to improper use or negligence (e.g., bumps, dents, crushing, broken glass).
- Failure or damage resulting from unauthorized repairs or modifications.
- Failure or damage caused by fire, water, or natural disasters (e.g., earthquakes).
- Aesthetic changes from normal wear and tear (e.g., minor scratches on the case or glass, discoloration of the strap, peeling of the plating).
- Absence of the warranty card alongside the watch.
- Battery replacement fees, applicable even within the warranty period.
If the original parts are unavailable, the case, dial, hands, glass, strap, and other parts may be replaced with substitutes. This warranty guarantees free replacement according to the terms outlined here, within a specific period, without limiting any legal rights of the customer as a buyer.
The right to free warranty repair is voided in the event of:
- Failure to present the warranty card, accessories, or product documentation.
- Failure to report apparent defects upon receipt of the goods.
- Expiration of the warranty period.
- Mechanical damage inflicted by the buyer.
- Usage of the goods under conditions that deviate from their intended natural environment, considering humidity, chemical, and mechanical impacts.
- Unprofessional handling, servicing, or neglect of the goods.
- Damage due to excessive loading or use contrary to the specifications in the documentation, general principles, technical standards, or safety regulations valid in the Slovak Republic.
- Damage from unavoidable and/or unforeseeable events.
